Heads Up

In 1999, the Sport Medicine Council of Alberta released the Heads-Up program with a focus on Head Injury and Trauma in Sport (H.I.T.S).  This was a joint venture between the SMCA, Hockey Alberta and Ringette Alberta.  In the years that this program was active, thousands of athletes across Alberta benefited from the information presented.  The SMCA salutes the players, volunteers and suppliers who worked together to prevent head injuries in hockey and ringette.  Thank-you for your contribution to safe sport.
