Sport Concussion Seminar Series

with Dr. Martin Mrazik, PhD, RPsych

The SMCA would like to present our 2010 Sport Concussion Seminar Series.  This seminar is presented by Dr. Martin Mrazik  to raise awareness on the seriousness of sport concussions throughout Alberta.  It will enlighten you with the newest research on concussion management and prevention along with some great stories.  This presentation  is ideal for coaches, parents, athletes, trainers, professionals and anyone who is involved in sport and recreational activities. This presentation is free to anyone who would like to come.

ABOUT DR. MRAZIK

Dr. Martin Mrazik is clinical neuropsychologist and currently an assistant professor at the University of Alberta.  He also serves as the Director of Testing Services at the University of Alberta Education Clinic.  He completed his MEd from the University of Alberta.  His PhD was completed at the University of Georgia with specialization in clinical neuropsychology under the mentorship of Dr. George Hynd.  After graduation, Dr. Mrazik became the Clinical Director of the Head Trauma Program and Chief Psychologist at the Millard Center in Edmonton, Alberta.  Dr. Mrazik is a member in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) for 13 years and an active member with the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and American Psychological Association (APA), and National Academy of Neuropsychology.  His research and clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of individuals suffering from a wide range of disabilities including traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, traumatic psychological injury, psychological conditions, and other psychiatric disorders.  Dr. Mrazik also serves as a consultant to the NHL and CFL regarding sports related concussions.
