Teacher Membership

By becoming a Member of the Sport Medicine Council of Alberta (SMCA), you are joining a community that works together to encourage and support safe and healthy participation in sports and physical activities across Alberta. Teachers also gain access to resources and support tailored to your role in fostering safe and healthy participation in sports and physical activities among students.
Membership Benefits Include

Equivalency Achievement Program Registration
Eligibility to enroll in the Equivalency Achievement Program for Senior High School Teachers.

20% Discount on SMCA Products
Receive a 20% discount on sport medicine supplies, and kits purchased through the SMCA Online Store for one-year.

25% Discount on SMCA Manuals & Workbooks
Receive an enhanced 25% discount on manuals, workbooks, and USBs purchased through the SMCA Online Store for one-year.

Voting Privileges at the SMCA Annual General Meeting
General Members are eligible to attend and vote at the SMCA Annual General Meeting, contributing to the governance and future direction of the organization.
Course Registration: Complimentary Membership

Individuals who register for an SMCA course receive a complimentary one-year membership as part of their course registration. This allows course participants to remain connected to the SMCA and access member pricing following their training.
Membership Term

Membership is valid for one-year from the date of purchase. Members may renew annually to continue receiving membership benefits.

This Membership is an Individual Membership as defined in SMCA's bylaws. Individual Members are eligible to vote at the SMCA Annual General Meeting, if they so choose. Memberships are issued to one individual and are non-transferable. Please confirm the following:

Indicate if you are a Senior High School Teacher and would like to enroll in the EAP, which aligns with Alberta CTS curriculum and offers SMCA Certificates of Achievement.

Please let us know the community you are located in. This helps the SMCA understand where our members are located across Alberta and the communities we serve.
